Therapic Advanced Physiotherapy
Get to know our Physiotherapy Unit
In the physiotherapy unit, we use specific techniques based on clinical reasoning and scientific evidence for the treatment of pain and other symptoms of neuromusculoskeletal dysfunction.
The main objective is to restore normal movement and return our patients to their functionality so they can return to sports, continue competing at the highest level, or simply resume their daily activities without issues.
¿What do we work on in our physiotherapy unit?
Traumatology and Rheumatology
Physiotherapy in traumatology is essential for the recovery of musculoskeletal injuries caused by accidents, falls, or other traumatic situations. In rheumatology, we help relieve pain, stiffness, and tightening of joints and muscles.
We use techniques such as therapeutic exercises, massages, orthopedic manual therapy, and electrotherapy, thus helping patients regain mobility, reduce pain, and improve their quality of life.
Sports physiotherapy
We focus sports physiotherapy on preventing, evaluating, and treating injuries related to the practice of sports activities in any discipline.
We use diagnostic techniques such as ultrasound, treatments like manual therapy, invasive physiotherapy, strength training, and specific rehabilitation to help athletes recover from their injuries, improve their performance, and prevent future injuries.
Spinal physiotherapy
Back physiotherapy focuses on improving function and reducing pain in the lumbar, dorsal, and cervical areas. We treat conditions such as cervical pain, lumbar pain, disc protrusions and hernias, radicular syndromes, and any injuries related to the spine.
Therapeutic exercise is a fundamental part of improving strength and flexibility with the goal of alleviating pain, improving mobility, and preventing future injuries to the back.
Osteopathic manual therapy
Osteopathic manual therapy is a safe discipline based on scientific evidence that, thanks to its clinical reasoning, allows for effectively treating musculoskeletal problems.
It focuses on the manipulation of soft tissues and joints to improve their function and relieve pain. We use techniques such as stretching, mobilizations, and manipulations at different levels to restore the balance and mobility of the body.
We treat conditions such as back problems, sports injuries, headaches and neck pain, postural issues, among others.
Pelvic floor physiotherapy and obstetrics
Obstetric physiotherapy is a specialty that focuses on the care of women during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period. We work with pregnant women to help them maintain good physical and emotional health during this important stage of their lives.
Here are some of the goals we include in this stage:
– Relieve lower back and pelvic pain during pregnancy.
– Improve posture and body alignment.
– Prepare the body for childbirth through specific exercises and perineal massage.
– Assist in postpartum recovery by strengthening the abdominal and pelvic floor muscles.
– Address issues such as urinary and/or fecal incontinence, prolapses after childbirth, and diastasis recti.
We use techniques such as therapeutic exercises, massages, manual therapy, education on posture and ergonomics, among others, to help our patients have a more comfortable pregnancy and a healthier childbirth.
Neurological physiotherapy.
Neurological physiotherapy is a specialty of physiotherapy aimed at people with neurological disorders, such as brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, strokes, multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, among others. The goal of neurological physiotherapy is to improve motor function and the quality of life of patients through specific techniques and exercises.
We work closely with patients to develop an individualized treatment plan that addresses their specific needs and goals. We use techniques such as: strengthening and stretching exercises to improve mobility and muscle strength, and gait and balance training to enhance coordination and prevent falls.
